Melissa Peterman - food experience
Melissa is a graduate of Seattle Central Culinary Academy and The Quillisascut School of Domestic Arts, where student chefs learn to garden, forage, make cheese and butcher animals while learning about the farm to table experience. Melissa also holds a journalism and creative writing degree from Western Washington University.

Melissa’s culinary career was shaped by her cooking experiences at places such as Macrina Bakery, The Ruins, Sue McCowen's Coco La Ti Da, Tom Douglas Catering and most recently The Herbfarm, where she is an apprentice at the culinary garden. She spent a year studying abroad in Florence, Italy, studying local cuisine and later spent time in Chang Mai, Thailand taking Thai cooking classes. Melissa currently works at Foodista.com and is the owner of Melissa Peterman Catering, specializes in cooking classes, small sit-down dinners and food and wine pairing experiences.
